One-Pot Rice
Protein and vegetables steamed above soy-seasoned rice, all in one pot.

| Salt[Diamond Crystal kosher salt assumed throughout.] | to taste |
Directions
prep
Rinse White rice in cool water until it runs mostly clear.
3mCut Chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces and season evenly with Salt. Set aside.
5mCut Broccoli into bite-sized florets.
3mSpread the rinsed rice in a medium pot. Add Water, Soy sauce, minced Garlic, and grated Ginger. Stir once to distribute the aromatics.
3massemble
Scatter the seasoned protein evenly over the rice. Lay the vegetables on top. Do not stir.
2mcook
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then immediately reduce to the lowest possible simmer. Cover tightly and cook undisturbed until all the water is absorbed, 18–20 minutes.
20mrest
Remove from heat. Rest, still covered, for 10 minutes.
10mfinish
Drizzle with Sesame oil and fluff gently with a fork or rice paddle. Serve directly from the pot.
